Introduction
Welcome to the thirteenth year of MBFFL. MIKE BRAZELL FANTASY FOOTBALL
LEAGUE. This is a hard-core keeper league with an annual draft.
The purpose of this league is to simulate the ownership and management of
an NFL franchise and to compete for the ultimate prize. This document will
set the parameters under which our league will operate and performance will
be measured. This document will be amended annually as needed. All team
owners are strongly encouraged to provide feedback, such as suggestions for
rule proposals. Any issues that may arrise during the season, not addressed
herein, shall be resolved by the best judgement of the league and its members on a
case by case basis. Changes in the rules can be recommended by any owner
at any time, but will not be considered until after the current season. All
suggestions are to be submitted to the commissioner.
Ownership
The yearly fee is $170.00 per team and must be paid by
draft day.
Each franchise in the league shall have an owner who manages the operation
of the franchise, including drafting, trades, or transactions of any kind. A
franchise may have more than one owner (co-owners). The league shall deem all
communications recieved from either owner legitimate unless the information
varies. In that case the last communication will be the only one considered.
Drafting
- The 8 teams that fail to make the playoffs will be placed in a lottery.
Only the top 3 picks and the first 2 rounds will be determined by the lottery
- The 6 playoff teams will be placed in reverse order of their finish from the previous
season.
- The draft will take place sometime prior to the regular season.
The date will be determined around July 1st.
- The draft will reverse following each round.
Order for rounds 3 and up will be determined by previous seasons standings.
- The draft will continue until all teams have filled their rosters.
Rosters
- Each team roster will consist of at least a starting lineup.
- Any player that is not drafted is considered a free-agent and can be signed
during weekly pickups.
- Each season one week prior to the draft each team must submit a list of
their 3 keepers.
Regular Season
- Teams will play a head to head schedule each week.
- All teams play each other once.
- The regular season runs through week 13, playoffs run week 14-16.
Tie-Breakers
- Winning Percentage
7-5-2(.583) is better than 8-6(.571)
- Head to Head
In the case of 3+way ties, if at any step a team is awarded a playoff slot,
any subsequent playoff slots, will be determined by immediately reverting to the
1st step for a re-application of steps amongst the remaining teams. If at any step
1(+) team(s) are inferior but yet 2(+) teams are tied for superiority, the inferior
teams are eliminated, and the tiebreak process immediately reverts to the 1st tiebreak
step for re-application of steps amongst all tied-for-superiority teams.

Playoffs
- Division winners and the top 4 remaining teams make the playoffs.
The division winners are the top 2 seeds and receive week 14 bye.
- The seeding of the playoffs will not change from original format.
Higher seed will advance in the event of a tie.
